VTrack GSPro Setup: PC Requirements, Licensing and Connection Checks

Connect VTrack to GSPro using the documented Toolkit workflow. Check PC requirements, licenses, shot capture and the right troubleshooting sequence.

VTrack is on GSPro’s officially supported launch-monitor list. A working installation still needs three things to agree: the sensor must capture shots in VTrackToolKit, the Toolkit must launch the installed simulator, and GSPro must have an active license for the correct device.

Prove each stage before changing the next one. If the Toolkit cannot see the sensor, reinstalling GSPro is unlikely to solve the underlying connection. If the Toolkit captures a shot and GSPro does not, you have narrowed the problem to the application handoff.

The menu sequence below is documented in Laon Swingcraft’s VTrackToolKit user manual v1.0.4, page 18. Screens and labels can change in newer releases. This is a document-based setup guide, not a claim that Indoor Golf Kit has personally tested every software version.

What you need before opening GSPro

  • An installed and calibrated VTrack sensor with a supported connection to the Windows PC.
  • The current supported VTrackToolKit version for your unit.
  • A purchased, installed and activated copy of GSPro with the appropriate VTrack license selection.
  • A PC sized for the simulator graphics as well as the launch-monitor software.
  • A known ball position and clear hitting area, so a connection problem is not confused with an unready sensor.

The manual explicitly places simulator purchase and installation before the Toolkit simulator-launch step. The selection menu is not a substitute for buying or installing the application.

Size the computer for the complete session

VTrack’s native software requirements and GSPro’s graphics recommendations serve different workloads. A machine that can display sensor data may struggle to render the course at your projector’s resolution.

Workload Published guidance to check Planning implication
VTrack capture and Toolkit Manufacturer lists 16 GB RAM, 100 GB free space and a suitable Ethernet adapter with advanced packet/buffer capabilities Verify the adapter model, available ports and storage rather than checking only the processor name
GSPro at 1080p Its “great 1080p” recommendation lists RTX 3070 / 3060 Ti graphics and 16 GB RAM Use this as a published starting point, then account for other applications running at the same time
GSPro at 4K Its “great 4K” recommendation lists RTX 3080 or better and 32 GB RAM A 4K projector does not itself make a low-powered PC suitable for 4K rendering

These are the applications’ published recommendations checked October 19, 2026, not a guarantee for every course or graphics preset. Keep enough storage for both applications, updates and course downloads. GSPro’s own storage figure should not be treated as the entire system’s storage requirement.

For a laptop, confirm how the required network adapter will be supported before purchase. VTrack’s product guidance names Intel Pro/1000-class capabilities, including jumbo packets and receive descriptors. Do not assume any inexpensive USB Ethernet adapter will provide the required options.

Step 1: establish a reliable native VTrack session

Open VTrackToolKit and confirm that it connects to the sensor. Complete calibration and the ball-position checks described in the official manual. Confirm a shot in the native environment before launching course play.

Use a repeatable test position. Moving the ball while changing network or application settings introduces a second variable and makes troubleshooting harder. Note the Toolkit version and the last stage that worked.

If automatic network configuration fails, use the manufacturer’s network supplement for your configuration. Do not copy a static IP address from an unrelated installation or change every adapter on the PC. Follow the relevant instructions for the adapter connected to the monitor.

Step 2: select GSPro in the Toolkit

  1. Open the Toolkit settings and choose Game.
  2. Use the Simulator selection to choose GSPro.
  3. Use the documented reload control to locate the installed simulator and confirm its game path.
  4. Choose Launch.
  5. In the GSPro launch/configuration window, select the intended display and appropriate graphics settings, then choose Play.

This sequence follows the v1.0.4 manual. If your installed version presents a different screen, use the documentation supplied with that version instead of forcing an old path or menu sequence. Resolve license activation through GSPro if the application requests it.

Step 3: test a short, controlled session

Start on a practice range with a normal iron shot. Confirm that the Toolkit records the strike and that a corresponding shot appears in GSPro. Check the selected player and handedness, then try the clubs and ball positions used in your normal session.

Keep the first session simple: one player, one display configuration and one application launch path. Once the basic handoff works, add a second player, replay windows or other optional features one at a time.

Do not demand that every displayed number match between applications. Native measured inputs and application-calculated flight outputs are different categories. Carry and roll may reflect environmental settings, lie or flight modeling. First check units, shot identity and conditions before interpreting a difference as a sensor error.

Use the failure location to choose the next check

What you observe Next focused check
No sensor connection in Toolkit Power, cable seating, the intended network adapter and the official network configuration procedure
Connected, but no stable ready state Calibration, ball position, the configured area and objects blocking the sensor’s view
Native shot appears; GSPro does not receive it Simulator selection, installed game path, active license and the documented launch sequence
Shot appears, but animation stutters Rendering resolution, graphics preset, GPU load and competing applications
Only one shot type is inconsistent Record its ball position, club and exact behavior; capture a reproducible example for support

Avoid changing calibration, graphics, network settings and putting adjustments at once. A single change followed by the same test gives support a much clearer record of cause and effect.

Putting settings are a final adjustment

The Toolkit manual shows a putter-speed-factor slider in its simulator settings. Do not use it to conceal an unreliable connection or an incorrect physical setup. Establish consistent shot capture first, then evaluate putting using repeatable distances and the same surface.

Record the starting value before changing it. If results worsen, restore the known setting. A short note containing the software versions, setting and test distance is more useful than repeatedly adjusting until one putt looks right.

Keep version changes visible

The July 27, 2026 Toolkit v2.4.3 release notes removed the Ball Marker option and made markerless mode the default. They also introduced a guided troubleshooting report with consent-based diagnostic attachments. An older tutorial may therefore show controls that no longer exist.

The same release note discusses 5 GHz Wi-Fi for PC-to-mobile streaming. That statement should not be interpreted as replacing the monitor’s required connection to the PC.

If you need help, record the exact point of failure and software versions, and use the supported reporting workflow. Review diagnostic attachments before submitting them. Our Help Center can help organize the support request.

What does VTrack with GSPro cost?

At the review date, VTrack hardware is $5,000 at Indoor Golf Kit and GSPro is $250 per year before applicable taxes. That makes a $5,250 first-year hardware-plus-GSPro subtotal, excluding the computer and room components. Confirm the exact package contents before adding a separate license.
