SIGPRO Golf Net: Room Fit, Screens and Upgrade Costs

Plan a SIGPRO Golf Net around the manual’s room requirements, screen options and complete upgrade costs before choosing your configuration.

The SIGPRO Golf Net is a sensible shortlist for a hitting station that may later gain a projection screen. Choose the net configuration for practice; choose an appropriate screen configuration when you are planning projected golf. Before either purchase, check the manual's room requirements and the complete upgrade parts. A net, a screen and a working simulator are three different scopes.

Our SIGPRO Golf Net listing offers no-screen, Preferred-screen and Premium-screen options. Select the configuration deliberately: equipment visible in an installation photograph is not automatically included.

Start with the manual's 9-foot ceiling recommendation

The manufacturer's published information contains an important difference. Its product-page room table lists an 8-foot height, while the linked SIGPRO Golf Net assembly manual specifies a minimum recommended space of 10 feet wide, 12 feet deep and 9 feet high.

Use the manual's 9-foot figure as the planning starting point, and verify the current configuration before ordering for a lower room. Even nine feet does not guarantee clearance for every golfer, club or raised mat. Test your actual swing envelope in the proposed hitting position and account for ceiling fittings and other obstructions.

Measurements that describe different parts of the SIGPRO Golf Net setup
Measurement Published figure How to use it
Net height 7 ft 7 in in the assembly manual Plan the structure; this is not the required swing height.
Net width 9 ft at the top; 7 ft 7 in at the bottom in the manual The outline is not a rectangular 9-foot-wide projection area.
Product-page net depth 10 ft Include the deployed arrangement and side protection in your floor plan.
Manual's recommended room 10 ft W × 12 ft D × 9 ft H A starting requirement, followed by golfer, equipment and installation checks.

A room that exactly matches a published minimum has no automatic allowance for your other equipment. A radar-based launch monitor, for example, may require additional depth under its own instructions. Confirm the requirements of the actual monitor rather than treating the net manual as a complete simulator-room specification.

Choose one of three purchase scopes

1. A practice net

Choose the no-screen configuration when the immediate job is catching shots from a suitable hitting mat. The net's frame and side protection form the hitting station. A projector is not necessary for ordinary net practice.

If you want shot data on a separate display, plan the launch monitor and its supported display arrangement separately. The net itself does not measure ball flight.

2. A net with an impact screen

Choose a screen option when a projected image is part of the plan. The assembly manual identifies both the screen and supporting crossbar as optional additions. Confirm that your selected screen configuration includes the compatible crossbar and attachment components; do not assume an unrelated standalone screen supplies the complete conversion.

Our listing lets you compare Preferred and Premium screen configurations. Choose the material in that product's selector. A replacement fabric ordered by a guessed width is not equivalent to the complete screen option designed for the net.

3. A complete projected simulator

Add the compatible launch monitor, software, source device, projector, mounting, cables and hitting surface to the screen-equipped net. Some of these may already be owned, but each still has to work in the finished layout.

This is the point to compare a net conversion with a more enclosed bay. Buying the lowest-priced net first is not necessarily the least expensive route if the final goal requires substantial additional light control or surrounding protection.

SIGPRO Golf Net or SIG8 enclosure?

Neither name establishes that the product fits your swing. Use each product's own dimensions and instructions. For larger SIG enclosures, the SIG8 versus SIG10 guide handles the separate enclosure-size decision.

Plan a BenQ projector from the screen, not the net width

Once you have selected the screen configuration, obtain its actual viewable width, height and intended image shape. Those are the dimensions for projection calculations. The net's nine-foot top width is a structural measurement and should not be substituted for the picture width.

Consider BenQ LK830ST if a close lens position is useful. Its shorter throw does not establish mount clearance or screen compatibility on its own. Check the optical geometry and the entire light path against the golfer, frame and side nets.

Use the projector planning calculator after you have the screen measurements. Do not hang a projector from the net frame on an assumption: the manual says not to hang items from the golf net. Specify a suitable independent mounting arrangement.

The complete cost worksheet

Compare these items for your intended finished setup:

  1. The selected net and screen configuration.
  2. The screen crossbar and compatible attachments, if projection is planned.
  3. A suitable hitting mat and any required support or floor transition.
  4. The launch monitor, supported software and source/display device, if required.
  5. The projector, independent mount, signal cables and power route.
  6. Any additional room protection, light control and storage arrangement your layout needs.

Mark each item as included, already owned or still to buy. This makes the quote comparable with an enclosure route and avoids paying twice for equipment that is already suitable.

Two checks before ordering

For a room with an eight-foot ceiling: do not approve the net solely because its frame is shorter than the ceiling or because a product-page table says eight feet. Resolve the manual's nine-foot recommendation and the actual swing clearance first.

For a future screen upgrade: ask for the compatible screen, crossbar, attachment specification and viewable image dimensions together. “I will add any screen later” leaves too much of the installation undecided.
