Use the IDRA II installation guide, keep the calibration reference stable and test the native connection before adding course software.
Find the IDRA II guide, not only an enclosure guide
The GolfIn IDRA II launch monitor and a SimBooth enclosure are separate parts of a simulator. SimBooth’s resources page contains an IDRA II installation guide, technical material and GolfIn Launcher resources alongside enclosure manuals. Start with the IDRA II documents for the tracking system.
An enclosure assembly video can show where equipment is used without supplying the exact tracking geometry. Confirm the device’s reference points and required mounting conditions in its own guide before fixing the bracket.
Prepare a consistent physical reference
Finish the floor build-up and establish the intended hitting position. Measure from the final hitting surface, not an unfinished floor. Mark the target direction and check the projector, enclosure frame and any protective accessories for interference with the camera view or swing.
Use the supplied calibration equipment and the documented orientation. Keep it stable during the process. A photograph of the board and unit together can help resolve a calibration question much faster than a screenshot of an error alone.
Test the device and software in order
- Confirm the supplied power and specified data connections.
- Install the official GolfIn software and complete the IDRA II setup sequence.
- Confirm that the device is recognized before moving to calibration or simulator integration.
- Complete the documented calibration and verify a controlled shot in the recommended environment.
- Follow the separate instructions for any supported course software and confirm its license.
If you have a picture but no shot data
The PC sending a projected image does not prove the IDRA II is connected. Check the device state inside the tracking software. If that software captures the shot, preserve the physical setup and investigate the integration rather than moving the camera.
If neither ball readiness nor tracking is reliable, review the model’s mounting geometry, the calibration board and the final ball position. Do not import another overhead monitor’s distances or a setup file from a different room.
Information to keep with the system
Save the exact model, serial number, software versions, finished hitting height and a simple sketch showing the screen and device. Keep a record of any future mat or mount changes. Ask IGK to review the setup before replacing hardware when the fault can still be isolated to a connection, calibration or license stage.
