Use the SPICA-specific quick-start resources and test the touchscreen, hitting zone and software connection independently.

Use the SPICA 3 resources

GOLFJOY’s quick-launch page separates SPICA 3 from its Rigel overhead models. For SPICA 3, it links a getting-started guide, user manual, PC connection video and install helper. Match the unit’s complete name before downloading or following a calibration tutorial.

This matters because a portable unit beside the hitting area does not inherit an overhead system’s placement or connection requirements.

Begin with the device

Confirm normal power, the correct playing orientation and the documented position relative to the ball. Check the hitting zone, the mat and device height, and the model’s ball or club-marking requirements. Use the touchscreen and ready indicators described in the manual to confirm the device is ready before a controlled test shot.

Keep the same ball and club for the first tests. Moving the device, changing lighting and changing software together makes an intermittent miss much harder to explain.

Then test the PC path

Follow the official SPICA 3 PC connection guide. Confirm that the computer meets the requirements for both the tracking software and your chosen simulator. A connection shown in the operating system is not the same as the correct launch monitor being selected inside the application.

If the device records a shot locally but the computer does not receive it, focus on the approved connection method and software configuration. If neither records the shot, return to ball readiness and the physical setup.

Check the software entitlement

Identify the GOLFJOY software edition and any additional simulator license associated with the order. Do not assume that a product being technically compatible with a program means that program or all of its courses are included. Use the manufacturer’s current integration instructions for the exact combination.

Before changing firmware or reinstalling

Record the version and error message. Use only the official SPICA resources and the documented update path. Keep power stable and allow the process to finish. If the issue remains, send IGK the model, software version, connection method, ball-ready state and whether a shot appears on the device before it fails on the PC.
