Match the exact Optoma suffix, establish a stable HDMI picture, then check optical placement and simulator output.

Read every character in the model name

UHZ35ST and UHZ35 are different models. ZU607T and ZU607TST are also different. Before using a mounting chart, firmware download or tutorial, compare its complete model name with the label on the projector. A near match is not enough for lens placement or a firmware update.

Set a stable baseline

Use the included power supply or specified power cable and a direct HDMI path from a working source. Select the connected input explicitly. If the desktop appears, leave launch-monitor software closed until the projector picture is stable. This avoids troubleshooting two systems at once.

Record these fields on one sheet: model, white-screen width and height, lens distance, mounting orientation, HDMI input, source resolution and refresh rate. For a fixed-lens model, moving the unit can be the correct way to change optical image size; do not assume every projector offers optical zoom or lens shift.

Fit the image before adjusting picture modes

Use the model’s documentation to establish its placement range. Set physical alignment and focus, then supported zoom or shift controls, then any necessary digital geometry correction. Check the internal menu and a computer test grid. A picture mode changes appearance; it does not correct an unsupported mounting position.

The catalog includes 1080p, WXGA, WUXGA and 4K-labelled models. Set output from the documentation for your actual unit rather than copying another owner’s resolution. A source accepting 4K input and the projector’s native imaging specification are separate questions.

Recognize a useful fault pattern

  • Menu visible, no desktop: investigate input, cable and computer output.
  • Desktop visible, simulator missing: check the application’s display selection.
  • One side difficult to focus: inspect screen flatness and lens alignment.
  • Image cuts out at one display mode: test supported timings and the installed cable path.
  • Warning indicator or repeated shutdown: record the indicator behavior, check external ventilation and follow the model’s service guidance.

Updates and escalation

Use the official resource for the exact model and region. Confirm that an update applies to your unit before starting it, and maintain stable power during the documented process. Do not install another model’s firmware to obtain a feature shown in a video.

Send IGK the model label, a photo of the problem, the current output mode and the result of a short direct-HDMI test. Keep the projector closed; internal servicing belongs with the appropriate service provider.
