A repeatable setup method for swing-camera position, lighting and connection issues across the camera families in our catalog.
Identify the camera and the software as a pair
Our camera and accessory range includes Uneekor Swing Optix, Trackman USB Swing Camera and Carl’s Place camera products. Start with the exact model and the application intended to capture it. A USB connection or a matching lens thread does not establish software compatibility.
Check the camera’s required port, cable, capture settings and supported software before adding extensions or purchasing a lens. Read the requirements for the complete camera count, not just one camera operating alone.
Frame the movement before mounting permanently
Set up a live preview from a stable, temporary position outside the swing and ball paths. Include the golfer’s full relevant movement through address, backswing and follow-through. Test with the actual golfer and club lengths that will be used.
For two views, label the feeds clearly so the face-on and down-the-line views are not confused during review. Keep the intended camera position consistent between sessions; changing perspective can make a swing look different even when the movement has not changed.
Separate blur from a poor connection
| Symptom | Useful first check |
|---|---|
| No camera feed | Supported application, correct camera selection and required connection. |
| Clear golfer at rest, blurred club in motion | Exposure/lighting and capture settings supported by that camera. |
| Sharp center, soft golfer or club | Focus and framing at the golfer’s actual position. |
| One camera works; two do not | Total data load, connection topology and multi-camera requirements. |
| Flicker or brightness changes | Room lighting and the camera’s supported exposure settings. |
Higher frame rate alone does not guarantee a sharp moving club. Exposure time and available light also matter. Make one adjustment, record a short repeatable movement and compare the result at the same playback speed.
Add lenses, hubs and extensions deliberately
A zoom lens changes framing within the limits of the compatible camera and lens mount. It does not upgrade the sensor or make unsupported capture modes available.
If the feed becomes unstable after adding a hub or extension, return to the manufacturer’s direct connection arrangement to isolate that change. Keep cables secured away from feet, clubs and moving enclosure parts, without pulling on the ports.
Save a reference clip
Once the setup works, save the camera names, positions, connection layout and capture settings with a short clip. If a later update or room change affects the image, compare against this baseline before buying replacement hardware.
For support, include a still from each view and describe whether the fault is missing video, motion blur, stutter or an incorrect angle. Those symptoms require different fixes.
