Keep the hardware setup, tracking test and E6 software license separate when bringing a TruGolf system online.

Select the hardware guide before the software download

APOGEE, LaunchBox and MultiSport ARCADE are different systems. Use TruGolf’s support page to choose the actual device and its current manual. A software download by itself is not a complete installation guide for the hardware.

Match the physical label, supplied accessories and order line before beginning. In a mixed simulator package, another component may have arrived first; that does not mean the tracking system is ready for calibration.

Keep three checks separate

Physical installation: follow the device’s specified placement, orientation, mounting and clearances. For an overhead device, measure from the finished hitting surface and plan the mount together with the projector and enclosure.

Tracking: complete the model’s initialization or calibration process, then verify detection and a controlled test in the recommended environment. Do not adjust the screen or move the hitting position mid-test without revisiting the calibration requirements.

Software access: confirm the exact E6 product or edition supplied with the order, the account that owns it, the permitted device and the active license. Hardware ownership is not a guarantee that every course pack or software edition is included.

Use a simple test record

Write down whether the unit powers on, whether the software sees it, whether the ready state appears and whether a shot or game input is recorded. That creates four specific outcomes instead of one vague “it does not work.”

For APOGEE, use its calibration documentation rather than an overhead competitor’s board or procedure. For LaunchBox, use its own placement and connection instructions. For MultiSport, verify the game, controller/tracking arrangement and calibration described in its documentation; a successful golf shot is not a universal test for every activity.

If the software name differs from your order

TruGolf’s current downloads may use newer E6 branding. Your purchase still needs to be matched to the license actually issued. Do not buy a second license or uninstall a working system simply because a newer product name appears on the website. Send the order item and the displayed license/edition name to support, keeping the license key private.

Before asking for a hardware replacement

Capture the exact error and the stage at which it appears. Include the model, software version, connection type and setup photos. If tracking is successful but the projector is blank, use the projector workflow. If the hardware is recognized but course access is missing, use the E6 licensing workflow.
