Plan HomeCourse ProScreen 180 dimensions, ceiling or wall mounting and accessory fit, then check operation and remote-control issues.
HomeCourse ProScreen 180: dimensions to check before ordering
Measure the room in two states: screen stored and screen deployed. A garage can have enough width for the housing but still have a door rail, opener or light in the travel path. Draw the housing, arm positions, hitting mat and golfer before choosing the mount.
| Measurement on our ProScreen 180 listing | What it means for your layout |
|---|---|
| 8 ft central screen width; 8 ft screen height | The central projection surface is a different shape from the full extended screen. |
| 10 ft 6 in configuration; 13 ft 8 in with arms fully outward | These dimensions describe different arm positions. Neither is a universal minimum room width. |
| 3 ft Pro Arms | Allow space for movement as well as the deployed position. |
| 6 in ceiling clearance; 18 in wall clearance | Check the mounting drawing and maintain the required clearance for operation and impact. |
HomeCourse's current ProScreen 180 overview describes installation at approximately 8½ ft from the floor, while older general setup material uses a different height reference. Confirm the supplied unit's mounting diagram and lower-screen slack before drilling. Record the housing position and finished floor level; do not treat a nominal ceiling height as a complete installation specification.
The manufacturer describes the expanded projectable area as approximately 14 ft wide; our dimension drawing gives 13 ft 8 in overall extended width. Choose the projector image from the usable surface in your selected arm position, leaving the required edge protection. Extending the sides for a wider image changes the containment arrangement.
Review the drawings on the HomeCourse ProScreen 180 page alongside your launch monitor's ball-to-screen and room requirements.
Ceiling mount, wall mount or Pro Rack: which parts do you need?
Check the supporting structure and approved hardware before lifting or fixing the unit. Use the installation instructions for mounting requirements; the room’s visible ceiling finish is not enough to establish structural suitability.
- Ceiling installation: the ProScreen 180 listing includes a ceiling mount kit. Confirm the supporting structure, fixing method and mounting height with the supplied instructions.
- Wall installation: the HomeCourse Wall Mount Kit is purchased separately and works with the ceiling-mount hardware. It is not a replacement screen or a complete simulator.
- Freestanding arrangement: review the HomeCourse Pro Rack footprint and installation instructions. Include its supports in the room plan and swing-clearance check.
The HomeCourse landing pad and side netting are separate accessories. Match their purpose to the installed layout. You still need a suitable hitting mat; a soft landing area alone is not a hitting surface.
Can a BenQ projector and VTrack work in the same bay? Plan their positions independently: the projector needs the correct throw distance and a clear image path, while VTrack needs its specified mounting geometry and calibration area. A retractable screen does not automatically make the overhead equipment movable. Check our BenQ placement guide and VTrack fit checklist before routing cables or installing either mount.
Check the complete moving path
Keep garage doors, lights, fixtures, furniture, clubs and cables outside the required travel path. The playing position needs both the manufacturer’s screen clearances and adequate room for every intended golfer.
HomeCourse remote: identify the failure before changing settings
Describe the last normal operation and the first abnormal one. Did the screen stop responding after a remote replacement, begin stopping at a different position, or catch after a room accessory moved? Keep the screen's product label and the remote model with your notes. A useful diagnosis starts with the observed behaviour and the instructions for that exact motor and remote.
| Observation | What to establish | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| No response to the remote | The correct remote, its battery contact and the screen's normal power or charge state. | Use the matching operating instructions before considering pairing. |
| A replacement remote has not controlled the unit | Remote and motor compatibility. | Follow their specific pairing procedure. |
| The unit responds but stops at an unwanted position | Whether movement is smooth and unobstructed. | Review the applicable travel-limit procedure. |
| The screen catches, skews or strains | Where the abnormal movement begins. | Stop operation and have the obstruction or mechanical issue assessed. |
Use the correct part of the pairing document
HomeCourse's Motor and Remote Control Pairing Instructions contains two procedures: pairing the controls and setting the upper and lower travel positions. Match its illustrated hardware to yours. A screen that already responds to the remote needs its movement symptom investigated before you repeat pairing.
For the illustrated remote, the document identifies the P2 control on the upper left inside the battery compartment. It also specifies confirmation sounds and movements, less than six seconds between consecutive pairing steps and a battery-contact check. Read the complete applicable sequence before starting. Keep the other remote buttons clear of accidental pressure while handling it.
If the expected confirmation does not occur, note which step stopped matching the guide. That detail is more useful to support than a list of additional button combinations tried afterwards. Use the documented procedure for the supplied hardware; obtain clarification if the controls, responses or instructions differ.
Observe the stopping point without forcing another cycle
A repeatable stopping position is an observation, not proof of a limit-setting problem. Check whether fabric, a strap or an object meets the screen at that point. Record whether the material stays even across the width. A short video showing the lead-up to the problem can help identify a cause that a photograph of the final position misses.
Keep people and equipment out of the movement area during a normal operating check. If the screen catches or the motor strains, stop the check. Changing a travel setting cannot establish that the moving path is clear. Send the symptom and hardware details to IGK support before further adjustment when movement remains abnormal.
HomeCourse side netting: match the orientation and anchor points
Use the HomeCourse Side Netting Installation Guide, revision 3 with the matching accessory. Begin with the ProScreen set up and stable. Lay out the side netting where you can compare its edges and straps with the guide's photographs before attaching it.
The guide's edges differ in size, so orientation matters. Find the top white strap with its hook, the clips and the lower and forward straps. Identifying those parts first reduces the chance of trying to make an incorrectly oriented net reach the available attachment points.
- Locate the upper attachment. Attach the hook to the small rod shown in the guide, not the nearby green reset button. The guide shows that button on one side; both sides have the rod used for the top strap.
- Match the clips. Secure them to the ProScreen arm netting in the arrangement shown.
- Identify the lower restraint. The instructions connect the lower strap to the supplied sandbag, with an alternative lower attachment shown for the Pro Rack arrangement.
- Complete the forward restraints. In the sandbag arrangement, the guide uses two bags for the rear/bottom straps and two for the forward extensions. Fill the bags with sand and position the extended net so it is taut, as shown in the guide.
Before use, compare the complete arrangement with the manual rather than checking only that the top hook is attached. Trace each strap to its intended restraint. Check that a loose end, moved bag or room object has not changed the setup. If an attachment does not match the drawings, confirm the accessory revision before substituting a fixing point.
Photograph the upper attachment, the arm clips and the lower and forward restraints after setup. Keep those images as a reference if the bay is rearranged.
