Measured layouts · Exact hardware · Clear decisions

Six starting points for a golf room you can make your own.

Explore golf simulator room layout plans built around SIG8, SIG10, SIG12, Carl’s Place DIY and Pro enclosures, and HomeCourse ProScreen 180. Each project connects a room drawing to BenQ projection calculations and a specific shopping list.

These are proposed IGK designs, not photographs or claims of completed customer installations. Reference room sizes are not universal minimums.

Screen dimensions refer to the viewable area used in each calculation. They are not the enclosure’s outside dimensions. HomeCourse uses the approximate central screen with its arms forward.

What makes a project useful before you buy?

A model comparison can help you choose equipment. A project has to put that equipment in the same room. Here, the screen setback, ball position, optical throw and ceiling references are calculated together, with a purchase list that separates included hardware from the work still needed.

The drawings show room proportions and planning references. They deliberately leave unverified doors, furniture and swing envelopes out of the design. Add those from your own measurements, and check the manufacturer’s current mounting instructions before turning any reference mark into a drilling location.

One complete decision, not another general guide

Use the SIG8 project to retain an existing monitor, SIG10 for a 4K overhead-tracking layout, and SIG12 for a taller 4:3 image. The Carl’s DIY project specifies a matched frame order; the Pro project examines a projector/monitor ceiling conflict. HomeCourse addresses what moves and what remains in a shared room.

How the numbers are checked

Each project distinguishes manufacturer dimensions from IGK design assumptions, links to its primary sources and shows the calculation behind the proposed lens location. Hardware links select the actual store variant. The shopping list refreshes prices and availability before enabling a combined cart addition.

Use the right tool for the next decision

Change the room or the equipment

Draw your dimensions in the Room Studio, calculate a different image size, or build another equipment list.

Understand a model or install your order

Keep using the existing buying guides for comparisons and the Help Center for assembly, wiring and troubleshooting.
